I've spent the day indulging in one of my very favorite genres - case fic! All four of these are exceptional, but do require canon knowledge.

Now here is a case fic that takes the brilliant, dark absurdity of Disco Elysium and makes it almost too real. Fantastic use of the Skill voices as you and Kim work together to solve a case where you learn more about Kim's past. I cried - twice. This is one hell of a roller-coaster, and I almost noped out at one point, but like the tag says - Trust the Author.

A sheer delight of a case. I wasn't sure about Sam and Foyle as a couple, but this fic sold me on it perfectly, with undercover as a couple, fraught bed-sharing, and Foyle truly, absolutely helpless before the stubborn force of chaos that is Sam Stewart.
